Wargaming

Posted by Kekso on 25 May 2015, 16:20

There is Wargaming board on Index page (divided by periods, not by scales). How more visible you want it to be?
Who stops you to post there?

Please note that none forum organization would satisfy all members ;)

And last, do you know some people who are willing to join the forum and actively participate if changes will be done? Or you're just guessing it will happen?

Mr. Andrea wrote: they would just need a proper space, which is not a hard thing to do Without a poll. :-D :-D :-D

First of all, only administrator can make any of those changes.

Second, I suggested a poll, I didn't insisted on it. Why? To see what overall community thinks.
Otherwise, every now and then 2-3 members can ask for their own subforum.

For example, yar68 regularly post about wargaming in 15-18mm scale. Almost none of you comments on his posts. That makes you think how many wargamers are really here. I'm not saying just a few... maybe they are really really quiet. But then we don't need new subforum for passive members.

Current forum organization is not perfect or universal, but you can find all you need.
Believe me, I would be more than happy to see dozens or hundreds of wargamers contributing this forum (and supporting it).

I don't consider anyone as dumb. Please, click this link:

http://bennosfiguresforum.com/index.php

And scroll down (to the end). You should see something like this:

It should be : SCALES; HOBBY; SPONSORS; OTHER; WARGAMING

If you don't see it then we might have other problem :?

I would like to have this topic on hold. Seems to be that the excisting "wargaming section" is not visible for everyone! We will take contact with Benno, to see what can be done!
Untill then please keep calm! ;-)

PS: Beano Boy Paul, can you confirm me, that you really can see that seperate section? :?

Thanks Kekso! Agree with Peter. I tried on ipad and laptop with two different browsers, and I cannot see the wargaming board. Maybe all discussion was the usual much ado about nothing. That board will feed the wargamers bellies, at least mine ;-)

This topic just came to my attention. To clear up the confusion: the wargaming board is only visible for admins and moderators (and maybe a few normal profiles because of a glitch). Hence the moderators said there already was such a board, and the others not being able to find it. I just made it accessible for everyone else, so feel free to start using the Wargaming forum.

I'll try to move as many of the old topics to the Wargaming forum.

We've had the Wargaming forum here for a while but it doesn't seem to be used a lot. I'm thinking about removing all the period subforums in the Wargaming forum and replace it with a general "Wargaming rules" subforum. This should save a lot of unused space on the forum homepage. What do you guys think?

I agree. Go for it Benno. Dead Space is just that. Sweep it away. Reminds me somewhat of the old saying," You can lead a Horse to water, but you can`t make him drink." BB
