I meant the figure, not the painter. ;-)

This was my winner. Catched (?) my mood perfectly. This is how I like the winter, in a dio (or on a Christmas-card). The frosty trees made the decision the last time, that's what it looked like at home at the time. Voted for the African too, but this was the best! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: Couldn't have done this with 9 pints, maybe 5 I think. :-D

Congratulations, Rich. Your work is the best summary for all the snows we've experienced this winter! :-D :thumbup:

@west1871
the figure is a conversion of a collection of some odd figurines ;o) and its part of my new current project of an arab bazar diorama.
you can check out another guy and a rough version of a building right here:

Erik, I just loved how subtle the shading was on your figure.

Congratulations- I draw my hat - a more than worthy winner-and also a nice and special "winter theme": Looking at the fig when it´s snowing all the time,makes it even more realistic!
For me personally -i´ve felt the cold! :thumbup:
It was also a big pleasure for me to watch all those great entries while participating the first time in a painting competition and of course i´m a bit proud to be thrown out in the first round by the later golden brush winner! Right done mate! ;-)
Many thanks also to all who have participated and to all the famous guys who have voted in the competition!
Let´s go on with this!!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Congratulations on the win.
Like you said you had a couple of nervy moments back there.
And some of the tightest voting rounds I have seen.

Excellent work.
