My son and me built a cardboard castle - now we needed some guys to live and fight there. 10mm!!! never used before. thomas Dürrschmidt was so kind, to sent me a few stripes of this wonderfull guys to test them. I am totally enchanted. It´s a big pleasure to paint them. Now I am in temptation to build an army of dvarwes, elves, orks.....it´s only "workbench", for I am still looking for the right techniques and for my skils. If anyones has a hint for me or sees something, I didn´t see, tell it. I am a rookie concerning 10mms.10mm nöthing more than a tumbnail!!!
There are far better 10mm figs out there then the warmaster stuff though and a lot cheaper
Pendraken are really nice as arethe Kalliastra stuff though a bit bigger then the Warmaster stuff as is the Magister Militum stuff
And the German company Obelisk make some superb Conquistadors at this scale...It really is the best scale out there to wargame in
I personally spray balck then paint on base colours ( a bit lighter thanyou would normally use) then wash in balck enamel ink then highlightagain with the original colour...the other method is to spray balck then just paint the raised areas with a colout then highlight that so that when grouped together you get a massed look
I'm working on some 6mm men now so I know how small this is (although it's 4mm larger). I must say you did a cracking job. Excellent shading on this scale. The blue and purple highlights on the horses are a bit too bright for my taste but I can imagine it looks good in real life.
The photographs are not best qualitiy, this is workbench. I´ll show them all when they are ready in a better scene and quality. First I wanted to share my joy with you...

they truly look great - i paint 10mm myself (GW once released a box "Battle of five armies" - it is about the battle near Esgaroth in middle-earth of "The Hobbit"). The 10mm Knights are from warmaster - a tiny bit bigger then those of "Battle of..." and i plan to get some of the warmaster-range to build some middle-earth armies.
...and by painting them myself i realize the quality of your paint job
