Hello tullo,
the chains were made from delicate metal chains...
but you can also use inexpensive jewelry chains for this.
I bought one a few years ago from a model building accessories dealer.

Hello dear collector friends,
finally it's done...the figures are finished painted.
Painting the figures, which are now over 50 years old, was a very demanding and laborious challenge.
In particular the dolman, with it's many laces and buttons,
sometimes brought me to the brink of despair.
The quality of the casting cannot be compared with today's standards.
Ultimately, I'm extremely happy with the overall result.
I think the effort was worth it.

Egbert, OK, they might have been a hell to paint and the casting quality is a bit out of fashion, but you've painted some little gems.

Great painting and figures.
When I was a kid I had nearly all Airfix sets and I always thought that the British mounted artillery had some of the best figures of the all collection.

It has ben difficult to get on to the forum these days but I can finally take a look at some of the stuff here. As others have said, the work on these and the conversions are terrific. And yes, it is an old set, but the sculpting was some of the best out there at the time they were released and I think still stands up well today.
