You did a great job. Very realistic colors. I would still attach reins to the horses, that makes their biuld even more realistic.

I am using these big wagons as the base for some C18th (War of Spanish Succession, and SYW) heavy baggage wagons. Will post pictures when I have made sufficient progress, but suffice to say that changing the wheels (and the rather strange IMEX horses) is the starting point.

Very nice Peter. I'm constantly surprised at how good these IMEX wagons turn out once painted after only seeing them in raw plastic on PSR. Very nice painting and shading work. That does look like a fine way to cross the continent. I wonder if they had any springs?

Thanks Bill! The person who started the wagons did some bad things with them. And he also used gloss enamel paint.

Thank you! Do you mean reins? Then the answer is no. I just don't want to take the risk that I ruin the model. I can put things together (even Ikea stuff! ) and paint them, but reins for six horses is a bit to complicated for me?

Based on Peter's pictures, and thinking also the substantial weight of these wagons, I have a feeling that they did not have springs...,meaning a bumpy ride, although with a straw mattress or two, some soft sacks, cushions etc I guess a traveller could make a suitably comfortable 'travel couch' for that long journey across the Continent.
