Thanks Kekso, and hi everybody,
My name is Enrico, I’m Italian, I started playing with plastic soldiers in the early 70s, like many of the very young boys at that time. Then I started with models (airplanes, ships, tanks) but I stopped when I was around 18th.
Then at 45th I opened my old games-box in the home cellar …. and the spark reignite the fire.
From then I made about 20 dioramas in 1/72, from ancients to the late 19th century.
Up to now I posted on an Italian site, but it’s becoming desert, so now I go international, and this is really a great site full of people in love with small figures like me.
Thanks to accept me !

Hello,

My name is Michael, and I live in the USA.

I have been away from any kind of wargaming for many years, and from miniatures for even longer. I very recently (a few weeks ago) started painting again. The last time I was painting regularly, there was much less information available, and the internet was barely a thing yet. Techniques have become more sophisticated since then and I find that I have a lot of ground to make up.

Here are some very tiny galleries of some of my miniatures (most of them are in storage until I find a new home):

Painted last week:

Painted many years ago:

I am not really focused on collecting any particular type of figures or from one particular period right now. At the moment, I just want to learn and improve my painting.

Welcome Michael,to this Universal Forum  That was put into place by Benno himself long ago. There are many sub forums here to explore too.
It will be a real pleasure to view any of your hobby style painting here. The cowboy mini figures look great via your provided Link! Many will like the fantasy figures too.

Do you swim in that blue pool within that cave?

 Greetings BB

Thank you!
I am working on some U.S. Marines from the era of the Boxer Rebellion, and will post them soonish (Blue Moon/Old Glory figures, like the cowboys). After that, maybe some Space Marines, or perhaps some terrain pieces. I am somewhat randomly working through bits of my brother's backlog until I can get my own figures out of storage.

Do you swim in that blue pool within that cave?
:-D I don't quite understand this. Does Pocho mean underground pool in some language or dialect?

The h was dropped from my search, a mistake caused by my search engine! Which meant your handle, Forum Name, took me to a distant place in a wilderness of South America. Where a beautiful pool was shown within a cave. Sorry my findings confused you. If you or anyone wishes to see what i meant click on the Link, and all will be revealed.

This blue pool looks fantastic indeed! Somebody should do a diorama about this, the deep blue water is probably a really nice challenge. Any ideas for a reasonable scenario that includes figures?

Hello there, I'm wilberforcefrog (i mean, that's who i am here)

I've been messing around with figures of various kinds on and off since I was probably five or so when I had some n scale trains that my grandpa got me. I've been more off for a while but now I am 35 and I've been looking at getting back into things! Mainly with a bit of wargaming hopefully, and some 1:72 ancients! I'm mainly interested in carthage and egypt and I just recently got some egyptian warriors to mess around with! I am not a good painter and never have been and never will be but I'm here to have fun with it.

So hi

So hi

I ultimately paint because I enjoy it. I have also enjoyed sharing my works on this forum and improving my painting thanks to hard work and also the suggestions of the others here. Maybe, if you do that, you will enjoy it, too.

Thank you both so much! I will try to share some things here once I get going, ha. And that's what I hope to do, BlueFalchion, I'm sure that I'll enjoy it too.

I've got a start on my egpytians! So hopefully soon I can start sharing.
