In memoriam Leonardo Torricini

Posted by sberry on 09 Jun 2019, 17:18

Dear fellow modelers and 1/72nd enthusiasts,

There is some very sad news: Some of you will already know that our colleague and friend Leonardo Torricini passed away a few days ago.

I did not know him very well, and there are others in our hobby who are far better qualified to write a real obituary. However, I want to make two remarks here:

First, he was a very nice and polite person, judging from his forum contributions, but also from the correspondence I had with him. I am sure other people had the same experience with him.

Second, his range of Phersu Miniatures included a number of very creative and original ideas that are not produced by any other company. He has greatly enriched our hobby, and I think his death is a real loss to all of us.

R.I.P. Phersu!

My thoughts are going out to his family and also all his friends in and out of this forum. The resting Roman soldiers set he made will be just one part of his lasting legacy.

He will definitely be missed at this forum and other hobby-relevant places.

My condolences to his relatives and friends.
I checked his work often at the internet: marvellous and very original.
A great loss.

I really liked his cat figures...I even remember when he putted a picture of cat near Roman soldier with text... I even wanted to buy some raven figures he made since there were ravens in epic poem about battle I made...

Very sad news.

His posts were always a joy, not just for his superb modeling but also for his, always, good natured comments. I'm glad we have a record of his creativity here, but he will be missed.
