Whatever happened to Victorious Secrets?

Posted by Marc the plasticsfan on 25 May 2018, 15:33

Hi, I know Ben and Jen used to post here, but when I tried to find details of their 1/72 work, I found just a partial old blog. Are they still around in some "web" form these days, or have they moved on to hobbies new?

Thanks

Marc

I really don't know. Years agyo, Ben was already to be met on the chat every now and then. I learned a lot from him - but then he just disappeared. Without a trace, so to say. As far as I remember, he left no explanation.

I wish no one would ever quit the forum. Some of my faves who we don't see any more are Mr. C, Modern Kiwi, and Sho. Maybe they will return.

Yeah, had some good time with them, a shame they lost out there on the world wide web.
But I am sure they still are creative as back then, man what cool things they did produce...

I remember VS as the one who painted fingernails (dirty) on 1.72 figures.

Like many I very frequently communicated with Ben via PM and in the chatroom. Always very giving with his advice and experience to help fellow modelers and painters. I reached out to him a couple years back just to say hi and see what what going on and from our communication I took it that he had progressed to the larger scale stuff. The 28mm Perry Hussars were the last figures I believe he posted here shortly after his wonderful Italeri French Dragoons. One thing I know is that Ben is not just a figure painter he had quite an extensive catalog of all type of models, (all extremely well done to say the least!!!) Anyway I personally wish him the best and if by chance he happens to pop back on the forum I hope he says hi!

Already did try that, but mail isn't active anymore, and the blog hasn't been updated as well.
A shame, I had such a good time with them in the chatroom, looking back to the good memories ;-)

Don't underestimate me, Remco. In fact I had a small reaction of Ben. I sended him an answer with the link of this topic and some personal messages. Fact is, we miss him and want to see him back here. But that is on him, you can't force it. ;-)

Excellent peter - thank you. That is a nice thing to do, to share good will and positive messages to the couple. They did such nice work that I do sincerely hope they are still having fun, in whatever shape or form their life now finds them.

Thanks you for your efforts

Nice of Dad`s Army and Peter to do all to get the lost sheep.

I remember a time the offered cakes are much bigger.
