Hi guys nice of you to comment.
This and the last kit shown, are the first in 1/35 scale that I have bought.
There are no other plans to buy others, but who knows I might see a bargin and add more to my stash!
I might have to commission the painting of them though.
The Box Art is great on all the sets, and what is shown on the box you get.
As you can see the L. R. D. G. has now been added.
One cannot have a cart without the horses if you get my drift?
The Long Range Desert Group members were all volunteers from other British regiments, including the R A F,but also taken from the British Common Wealth too. From other branches of service even Doctors and Civil Servants were included. These guys were operating long before the S. A. S. in the desert and did provide a Taxi type service for Stirlings men to and from their missions, but don`t get me wrong everyone pulled their weight and there was no such thing as a free ride.
Officers commanding L. R. D. G.never had an assigned batman, and it was the same for them as inlisted men alike.
Officers commanded ,but It was all pull together whatever low dirty job came up.
In a four man team, that function could mean survival.
