Bought a Testors 1/35 M3 Lee at Michaels with a 50% off coupon. I think it cost about $12.




It took about 5 minutes to screw it together; yes, there's no gluing!

Eventually (maybe) I'll paint it up as a British Grant in "the desert" (unless the British used Lees as well as Grants). Yes, I'm sure there are differences, but I don't care.

The turreted gun (whatever it was) is bent, but I'll replace it with a bit of brass tube I have lying around. And there's a square hole in the rear plate, for a switch I think, that'll need filling in.

Now I just need some ultra cheap British 8th Army, 1/32 or 1/35, I'm not fussy!

On the last day of last year I treated myself to these...



...for $6. Nine figures in 3 poses; two "Sand Troopers" and one Sand Person (or whatever they were called). They look about 1/35 scale-ish and I was going to walk away from them because I only went in for some Milk and Bananas. But when I got a few aisles away, my resistance crumbled and I went back and put them in the trolley (cart).

Also made this line-up, which I call "Outside the Pub on Halloween"



Robin really rates himself ! The Tomahawk Kid is still inside the pub finishing up everybody else's drinks !

Got these British Musicians today. Only went in for some static grass!






It says British Army on the label, but it looks like they're just having a knees up. Maybe that's how they lost?

They are pretty big; about 70mm sole to scalp. That's a strange size isn't it.
