Thanks :-D

Now that this project is sufficiently progressed, I want to start on a new army.
This time it is a Roman army from the Late Republic/Early Empire period.

I'm using Blue Moon Caesarian troops.
I'm aiming for 5 units (24 men as for my Greeks) each representing a legion.

For the first one, I will do a front rank of soldiers with gladii, and a rear rank throwing their Pila.

The figures needed some cleanup, but not bad.
Overall I am happy with them. They have realistic proportions and are nicely detailed.

Thanks for looking.

I decided to replace the pila with broom bristle and hair from a shoe brush. It was much easier than I expected.

However, the test painting turned out too dark for my taste. I'll probably do this lot over again.

I'm a bit happier with this batch and their lighter color scheme. However, the shield colors lack contrast and I'll probably redo them.

Looks really promissing! The brand of figs is completely new for me, but they are good looking.
