IMEX 1:32/54mm Confederate Cannon Set ref 781

Posted by carlos olivegreen on 17 Jan 2015, 22:24

Hi,

This is my first project regarding 1:32 figures.

I discovered I had this set of figures. The set is mediocre and gave me a lot of work (a lot of seam).
In the case of the Confederate Army tried to paint three pictures with different uniforms each other.
The indication of painting contained in the package was ignored and the blue of the uniform was replaced by the more appropriate artillery red.
Applying Primer was indispensable and not enough, immediately after painting the figures had to apply matt varnish to seal the paint.
The gun was the hardest piece to complete or at least give it a more realistic look.
Some details had to be added, including a screw below the barrel of the gun.
I am thinking of adding one or another detail and I am still thinking about how I will finish the base.

Best regards

Carlos

My 1/72 works are in a almost "stand still situation". My favorite project the Airfix Fort Apache had suffer some setbacks, the age of the kit, some transformations and bad handling resulted in some broken pieces in difficult spots to glue them back.
Thanks you all for the comments!

Good job Carlos. Varying up the uniforms adds a lot of visual interest. Cool job on the cannon. This will make an action packed scene. Congrats.
Bill.
