Great renovation Peter. Maybe some "text" on the scroll would be nice addition.

Well done, Peter
Anicius - he's an antique Hamlet, or what? Interviewing a skull?

Great improvement for this figure, Peter. I try to take a roller-pen e.g. to make small lines on paper in such a case. But it works for me also in this way. Looks like a poet looking for inspiration.

Thanks guys for the nice comments!

If someone has some information about Anicius he may always share it with us. I did a search but I was getting some very strange results. ;-)

What a difference!

Very nice updating of an interesting looking figure, he looks great. I think the scroll has a secret message written in invisible ink.

I did a search on Anicius and I think the most likely match was one Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius, most commonly known simply as Boethius. Apparently he wrote philosophical works musing on fortune, death, and other matters so he fits with the pose of the figure.

Me too! Especially when the result is such an improved figure compared to the original.

Great job, Peter!

Michael Robert wrote:...Interviewing a skull?

That must be the content of the scroll: the interview questions.
