Thanks, the ww2 Italian Mortar platoon are 15mm Flames of War IT705. I like the range very much ( I liked them better when they were called Battlefront, but they changed their name )

As for the WWI figures they are a mix of Peter Pig and Mini-fig figures.

thank you for the information.

Peter Pig-Figures I don´t like very much according the proportions. "FoW" I know - yeees, since some months I try to read the "Wargames Illustrated" too - but I never noticed them before in context with "pure" modelling, only in context with wargaming.

But it´s an interesting idea for a little vignette. I will notice it.

Flames of War figures have a lot of movement to their sculps they did not take a typical wargame approach to them. I have to disagree on the Peter Pig they to have a lot of character to them and a variety of poses and when they are painted they can be very nice looking. I never thought of doing dioramas but the figures from these two companies can offer a lot of choices to use. If I had to chose I would use the FoW ones, it is unfortunate that so far they only are doing ww2. I had heard that they were going to do ACW and ww1 but alas no news yet I'm afraid.
