I haven't enjoy very much painting them. Yellow is difficult to paint, Victrix plastic is very brittle and sculpt isn't the best in the world
Anyhow, they're finished, photographed and ready to meet new owner who will like them more than I do (I hope )

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure about that. I've painted according to reference that customer gave me. This is second unit I've painted for him and he didn't made any complaints about first one.

My first thought was, that these are 1/72 but I didn't recognised the brand. But then I read about Victrix. You know I am one of your fans, Dalibor. And I like also these figures very much.

Then I wonder how such a yellow colour would age when on campaign. Certainly less "bonbon". Probably we'll never know. On a gaming table or in a diorama this yellow will be terrific.

Yellow is quite an unusual uniform colour for the 'horse and musket' era (1700 to c.1850), and I suspect there is a good reason for relatively few units being clothed in this colour; in other words, that yellow dyes were not very good at staying yellow, and so became bleached or even changed hue slightly when exposed to sun and rain.

Even so, these brave Swiss warriors do look very nice in their bright yellow coats!

That batallion just looks great!
I can imagine the struggle with the yellow paint, but you made a real beautiful bunch of soldiers. Nice sculpts & fantastic painting!

Yellow is only surpassed by black and white.
I would say you got along very well with the yellow uniform.

Regarding yellow, yes it is difficult color to paint.
What I did here is I've used white primer and then Iyanden Yellow (GW Contrast paint).
I did highlights with regular acrylic paints.
