Let's jam

Posted by Susofrick on 02 Mar 2022, 09:35

This was my little entry. Very satisfied! It was great fun as always! Figures are Mithril and Thomarillion. Accessories are Thomarillion and Mithril. :-D Dog is from Stenfalk. Had a some serious trouble (still have) finding a pianoplayer. Ended up with one of these guys:

Works quite well when you just see the back of him. :-D

And they don't only jam, they are surrounded with jam!

Lovely scene! A bunch of people just having fun together - that's a nice counterbalance to what we see in the media these days.
And in particular the last picture looks really sweet!

I like this very much. It's charming.

I have one criticism - the colour of the dog *could* contrast more with the floor it sits on?

A really nice scene.
And a relaxed and unusual theme.
Well done,my friend!

Thanks. Hmm, yes, I was in doubt if I should use that dog. He was already painted and the floor too. Thought about putting something under him, but couldn't find anything that I liked. Musician ... I have played guitar, bass and a little bit of organ in a band. But that was some years ago. And I was terrible at jamming! The jam is mostly lingonberry since we had a VERY good year for lingonberries this year.

A fine and imaginative scene, and those huge jam 'silos' just add to the...ambience? I like the detail, including the table with candle-stiock and what appear to be four large but as-yet-completely full beer tankards!

Huge thanks for the comments. It was great fun to make this little scene. And Lucky Luke is always a good reference when you don't know how to paint your cowboy! :-D

Personally, I find the background to the diorama to be a little jarring......

I really liked this one. Very nice job on the eclectic bunch of musicians, they look totally right, I wouldn't be suprised to see those guys in a session bar anywhere. 8)

I love the bookcase, and the fire in the grate is great.

One thing that really amused me is the way the Medieval bloke sitting at the piano looks like he might be thinking 'what is this thing'. :xd:
