28mm Perry French Medical Wurst Wagon

This is the 28mm metal Perry French medical Wurst Wagon. I have as usual used Vallejo paints on this.

Cheers

Gerry

Wonderfull work!

Should that wagon not be painted in yellow-ocher? Or was that in another period?

A marvellous Perry model and figures, very nicely painted and presented here.

I also wonder whether this wagon might be painted French artillery green. As a vehicle I have also always wondered about the practicality of the 'Wurst' wagon. Presumably here it is for transporting medical staff around the battlefield, since clearly as a means of casualty evacuation it would be entirely impracticable?

Nice groundwork. It looks, from the several very large calibre roundshot that have arrived in the vicinity of this wagon, that there has been quite a barrage of shot quite recently; presumably work for the dismounting gentlemen of the corps of surgeons to do if these roundshot have hit their mark amongst unfortunate soldiery nearby.

Again a wonderful work. I would wish only that the wood and especially the leather bank of the wurst wagon would looking used and older.

Riding like that must be quite hurtful for the groin. But as usual very good painting and presentation!

Nice model

Don't know how this type of carriage was called in French. Certainly not "Wurst wagon", Wurst being the German term for sausage.
A Frenche Gribeauval "Wurst" should be green and the Austrian one were yellow, at least according to the rules, and we all know how seriously they were applied...
I join Susofrick in that I cannot imagine riding more than a slight trot with such a wagon. Nothing to hold on to, other than your comrade in front.
