Meanwhile, Italeri released a few of their announced 1/72 kits.
6196 - “Gladiators Fight“ Ludus Gladiatorius gladiator training school playset
- Gladiators, chariot & wild animals, 14 figs in 11 poses + horses & beasts (Italeri 6062)
- Roman Infantry, 40 figs in 11 poses (Esci 224/Italeri 6047)
- MDF laser cut “Gladiator Arena“
Sadly, there are no spectators included. Hence one could try to populate the scene with appropriate Linear-B, Nikolai or similar figures.7077 - Sd.Kfz.251/8 Ausf.C mittlerer Krankenpanzerwagen (Esci 8067)
7078 - T-34/76 Model 1943 (Esci 8047)
Furthermore, some sources are stating that Italeri designed a brand new T-55 kit, an in-house design, no Revell or other cooperation.
The same sources announce the re-release of a former Toxso kit, namely the German WWII
schwere 10cm Feldkanone 18.
The original kit contains a
schwere Protze 18 für Kraftzug limber and is quite good already. It seems the Italeri re-release will contain an alternative barrel which allows to build the
15cm schwere Feldhaubitze 18 as well. Both versions were widely used standard guns during WWII.
Excellent, but equally confusing news. Maybe one of our italian friends could shed some light on the validity of this?
Any further information would be greatly appreciated!
