Zvezda 2020 - 2023

Posted by Traveller1865 on 08 Dec 2019, 19:39

New art of tactic releases and what's more: trebuchet is re-issued!!!

Image

A few other old sets are also returning, one strange choice is the re-release of French 100YW infantry and not the much better English 100YW infantry.

Not the big box 1/72 but the smaller boxes.

The soviet and German 120mm mortar sets are most welcome. Both in summer it seems and that’s allright with me.
Some more Volkssturm are also nice as are the soviet assault troops, with a heavy mg (?).

Perhaps they realised that people still want the big box sets - the ancients and the GNW stuff.

Hope so, but I think they're just milking their old sets with no intention of going back to big box sets.,.

On the other hand it’s good they will be available again (or remain available).
I never paid €60,- for the trebuchet, which is a ‘normal’ price now, but about the half for it.

Glad that Zvezda keeps producing new 1/72 kits!
Looking forward to:
6147 - 120mm M1938 mortar with soviet crew (probably with limber)
6269 - Soviet Infantry with submachine guns
6271 - Soviet Assault Group with SG-43 Goryunov MG & body armour
6268 - 120mm Granatwerfer 42 with german crew (probably with limber)
6270 - German Panzegrenadiers
6272 - German Volkssturm 1945

5064 - T-28
5062 - SU-85
5065 - T-90MS
5068 - S-400 Triumf (SA-21 Growler)

Also good to hear that Zvezda keeps reissuing their unrivalled big box figures.
Last year they announced quite a few re-releases:
8003 - Mongols
8008 - Persian Chariot and Cavalry
8010 - Carthaginian Infantry
8012 - Gauls (Italeri)
8019 - Macedonian Phalanx
8031 - Carthaginian Numidian Cavalry
8034 - Republican Roman Infantry
8512 - Medieval Stone Castle
9030 - Carthaginian Warship

Not sure which sets are back to the catalogue this time though?

Anyway, welcome news here!

I’m quite excited to be honest! Almost like the old days.
Or, well: ten years ago.
Strelets coming out with a big load soon and the British for 1701/-14 are the best they ever made.
LinearA announcing one after the other exciting set (two sets instead of one called ‘Waterloo after the Battle’ is today’s news and the Etruscan cavalry is about to appear soon).
DarkDream make good sets to make the fantasy guys happy.
And Zvezda has a little revival too with their minisets.

About zvezda: I did not even dare to hope for the extra limbers with the mortars. Quite curious how many poses in the soviet assault group.

Don't look at these pictures! This is a boxarts from Zvezda's 1:35 figure sets (very old, discontinued since last year). So you may be sure: 120-mm mortar will be WITHOUT limber. And SG-43 is very doubd.

Re-releases of the big sets is better than nothing. Same as with Hat, even if new releases are very slow, at least they've got the hang of getting restocks back onto the market.

4 poses and one mortar per box it seems. Ok for me, really like the radio operator. :yeah:
Will see how they match their Pegasus comrades.

Good news! Long awaited. I think it was announced for more than five years ago.
Probably the other five will appear sooner.

That makes 2 of us. I think those are the finest 1/72 set made thus far. If you have any you should consider yourself fortunate,

Reading recent comments on the forum, I'm not sure if fellow hobbyists realized which sets Zvezda is going to re-release this year (apart from their above mentioned new AoT & Vehicle kits).

8016 - Livonian Knights
8038 - Republican Roman Cavalry
8051 - Ancient Egyptian Infantry
8058 - Russian Artillery of Peter the Great
8067 - Cataphracts
8069 - Scythian Cavalry
8080 - French Napoleonic HQ Staff
8516 - Medieval Siege Engine Trebuchet
