New Romans

Our friend Alexander Gussev (ALEX MINIATURES) sent me this picture of his latest work.
Looks very promising.
His Romans in 1:72 are the best I've seen so far.



The guy in the middle, with the curly hair and the beard, reminds me a
bit of the Roman Emperor Marc Aurel.

Very fine sculpts indeed Konrad. The detail in the hair and faces is superb. They do look like a defeated army and not for triumphal processions I'm guessing.

Thanks Konrad and thanks to everyone who left comments, it's very supportive. I'm not sure that I can post photos of new figures here directly, since many photo hosting sites are closed. But I'll try. Currently, I have blinded a set of Russian sailors at the end of the 18th century (the era of Catherine the Great) - these figures were necessary for wooden models of the sailing fleet.
As for Roman figures, I took the "stylistics" from Trajan's column. and portraits too. As for the poses, I wanted to portray the "mules Maria". But I consider these figures not successful and I will remake them.
