Loss of Pictures

Posted by Beano Boy on 31 May 2017, 18:15

Hi guys, I noticed lots of my old pictures have not appeared again on many of my topics. Well at least I cannot see them. There`s either a cross or the colour is in long strips across the picture point. This could be down to Photo Bucket & tiny pics, again. Remember last year November they shut their system down for three days. Anyway BB`s Toy Figures have hardly any pictures on it now. An error perhaps but way beyond my control.
Perrhaps some of you guys could check your topics to see if this situation is universal. BB

Sorry but I can't check right now by my mobile phone. Forum just shows pictures that are hosted elsewhere. That's why I think that problem isn't in the forum

All my pics are gone. Uploaded them from photobucket.
Is there a way to get them back in my posts?

Well, it seems that Photobucket are to blame! See below from https://www.ghacks.net. Seems that we might need to find another site to use...

"Photobucket disabled the third-party hosting of images functionality of the site recently which had been a part of it for years.

Internet users who used Photobucket for that, that is store their images so that they can embed them on other sites, were asked to pay $399 per year, or $39.99 per month, to reactivate the functionality.

This was done with barely any advanced warning that this would happen, and the replacing of all images on third-party sites with a dummy image asking users to become a Plus 500 subscriber to restore the hotlinking functionality."
