During a brainstorm session in the chatroom we came up with an idea to reduce the number of scales forums. Now there are 1/48 and larger, 28mm historical, 28mm fantasy, 1/72, etc. Not all of them are as active as the 1/72 forum, so maybe they can be merged to reduce the number of forums.

So the idea was to reduce them to 3 main forums:
    - Large scales (25mm, 28mm, 1/32, 1/35, 1/48, etc)
    - 20mm - 1/72
    - Small scales (18mm, 15mm, 10mm, 6mm, etc)

What do you think?

You can vote in the poll (scroll to above) or reply in the comments. :-)

There are 2 more active sections - 1:72 and 15-18mm.
May be its better to reduce to 4 main forums?

Large scales
1:72
15-18mm
Small scales

   I like the idea of three scales, sometimes there is so much information that you get lost. With three scales the search is mas directly. It is my opnion.

I like this one as well. But I read everything posted here so I do not mind so much about sub forums.

Hi,

I don’t really see any problem with the actual number of scale forums.

If you’re interested in every scale you can find what you want whatever the number of scale forums.

But if you’re interested in just one scale, the more forums the better because you avoid searching between things you’re not interested in.

I would be more interested on splitting the busiest forums that reducing the number of them.

Just my five cents…

I think 3 like in the poll question, and a search function on scale by tags would be cool.
The only problem would be placing the tags, if you forget you won't be found.

The tags won't be introduced for the next coming half year.

I think 4 forums (fora?) but here's how I'd divide them:

19mm and below
20mm and 1/72
25mm and 28mm
greater than 28mm

I think that the 28s will grow to become one of the larger groups (no puns intended). I think that the 28s are low now because people don't realise they are now accepted on the forum, but as time goes by more and more people will be posting in that division. Just my opinion.

I'm not very active at the forum (now thats an understatement as i havent posted anything for months   ) but i do feel that i have to say something. I started a couple of years ago to look and contibute to the forum as it was the only one (and the very best one also) that specialized in 1:72. And from the very first moment i    loved it. I gave me a great boost to get into the hobby again and so i started painting and posting my works. But then i saw it slowly changing into his new form and when i visit the forum nowadays i find it a little bit dissapointing that the forum has lost that original "feeling". Imho it has outgrown itself and has become more of a general miniatures site instead of a forum dedicated to the one and only thru scale : 1:72.
So i would like to see it return to its original idea and just one scale.... But that just mine opinion so please don't kill the messenger :-D :-D

Laterrrr
