Very nice composition and nice to see those Matchbox chaps looking so good.

Personally I would bin the panzerfaust chap as his weapon is a late war addition to the Wehrmacht’s armoury.

During the last days of war I think they used everything available in the arsenals....perhaps also some Panzer I?!? The Panzer looks great. I like the painting with the yellow crosses and the weathering is superb. I also like the overall composition.....but I would leave the officer shooting with the pistol. The enemy seems to be very, very near. So the guy on top of the tank and the two guys beside it will get a problem very soon.

You may have a point but the Panzer one was considered obsolete in 1939.

There were a few short barrelled Panzer fours from training companies in Normandy I believe but even these were considered out of date in 1944.

Still, it’s a nice diorama and I personally have a soft spot for the Matchbox figures. They might be old but the poses on the whole were very good.

I like this a lot - great work, as always. I'm curious about what the tank crew is discussing but it seems a heated argument! I think the figure on the hull might be saying, "Get back into the %$#@ tank!"
I would agree with Chris, that the panzerfaust and the battle smock of the kneeling figure (those two Italeri, I think) both would seem to be late war. Pretty sure those early war tanks would have been converted or binned by then.
