The person who started the wagons did some bad things with them. And he also used gloss enamel paint.
kursktiger.cn wrote:why,I can't see the photo??
I really don't know. All others can see them.
Konrad wrote:Very nice work on this "old" wagon.
Looks like IMEX is the topic of the week.
Thanks Konrad!
Imex wagons are fun!

sansovino wrote:Thanks a lot to present us this wonderful work, Peter. Will you add still some more tackles on the horses?
Thank you!
Do you mean reins? Then the answer is no. I just don't want to take the risk that I ruin the model. I can put things together (even Ikea stuff!
) and paint them, but reins for six horses is a bit to complicated for me?

I fully subscribe to BB's opinion. Great job on this fantastic Imex wagon, Peter.
Santi.
Thanks Santi!
JurgenH wrote:You did a great job. Very realistic colors. I would still attach reins to the horses, that makes their biuld even more realistic.
Thanks Jürgen!
See above why I don't do the reins.

I am using these big wagons as the base for some C18th (War of Spanish Succession, and SYW) heavy baggage wagons. Will post pictures when I have made sufficient progress, but suffice to say that changing the wheels (and the rather strange IMEX horses) is the starting point.
Thanks Mark!
Looking forward of what you make of these wagons!

Bessiere wrote:Very nice Peter. I'm constantly surprised at how good these IMEX wagons turn out once painted after only seeing them in raw plastic on PSR. Very nice painting and shading work. That does look like a fine way to cross the continent. I wonder if they had any springs?
Cheers,
Bessiere
Thanks David!
Good question about the springs.
I found some old pictures of this wagon and I can't see if they have springs.
