Nikolai medieval inn staff

Posted by blacksmith on 30 May 2023, 13:34

I'm sorry for not posting before but I've bought a gaming PC and I'm very "busy" at the moment playing Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Anyway, after a month of frantic gaming I stopped for a moment to paint these 1/72 resin miniatures of much needed staff's inn. They are from Nikolai and are exquisite but very delicate to handle; actually, I broke a hand and an foot while cleaning them.

The miniatures have very sharp details and I couldn't make justice enough to such top quality castings, though I must say they look quite better at natural than in these pictures, I swear ;-)

Great painting of that lovely set. Also have it. Erik is one of our best sculpturers in my opinion.

His miniatures are a work of art, although I'd love to see them casted with a small flat base rather than without nothing under their feet. I've jut based his wolves and it was difficult to glue their tiny paws on bases.

Nice painting job on these terrific figures. The floor-like bases make me wonder if an entire tavern (crowded and noisy) is under way.

Thanks Chen. I'm afraid there is no project of tavern. It just happens I have D&D floor tiles of a tavern with wooden floor :)

I couldn't agree more with all the colleagues, Javier. It's nice to see civilian figures and also so fantastically painted like these.
