The Rubber Mould

Posted by Graeme on 08 Jul 2019, 14:51

The Medieval blast furnace is a pretty cool (or rather hot) idea.

Very nicely painted Monks, I think one of them looks just like Abbot Radolphus in the "Cadfael" Tv series:

Thank you Graeme  for commenting upon the wheel of last years playtime endeavours here in Fiddle Wood.I recently saw a castle that had three such wheels providing the huffing and puffing power of forges needing it the other-side of the hot wall.
Like London Bridge,i guess water could even work a castle drawbridge too. BB

..................... :winky: Some might well remember the PLAYMOBIL TOY ?

 Good old Mr Winky, helps out.
:cowboy: BB, certainly likes to be less formal in his own sweet way.
:sst: to be far to serious in a humdrum way with every scratch placed upon a page
can seriously weaken the eyes of would be sleepers. i kinda like that.
:read: Shoosh some might have already nodded off.
:cowboy: Giddy Up! Onward rode the six hundred insomniac jumping sheep.
:coffee: Still with me? That`s good guys.
:sst: so ever onward now in this meandering quick dry endeavour.

My Mrs B, Lets Me play ,because it is a needful thing i just have to do.

:coffee: As for my dirty nailed self i nearly forgot these half dozen rooftop casting for they lay napping upon the seat of an idle chair that had been pushed under and up against one of my hobby tables.
i will probably only need two for now,but have four in reserve for the new year period.
For now the lean to roofing is sealed, and awaits extra colours to be added.

 Red and Yellow and Pink and Green...... ? :-D Another for FredG. :eh: Eh?

:coffee: Black added to lots of water makes light work for little o`l me. Here it has turned the water a grey, Remember any emulsion paint can be watered down which is a good tip for it is the cheapest and quickest way of painting buildings of all kinds. C U Later Perhaps BB

My chimneys for my rooftops are being made and the scratch-building programme such as it is is being shown on this link....viewtopic.php?f=15&t=22763&p=249258#p249247

This is because there is no involving making rubber moulds during these upright smokey things that are being made by using both balsa wood and paper card, and of course my old work horse of a fixing point, water proof p v a glue. To view that meandering course of making cheap affordable things, just pop along over there and enjoy another aspect of my hobby-work at my hands. As always your visits here and perhaps there, are always most warmly welcome. Many thanks . C U Later .BB

........................................................... :winky: Hi There

Image

The north tower, was having reconstruction added to it when a strange storm in all its thunder arrived upon the scene. The little tower that shock a few stones loose, was once used long ago to house such a mad king who had lost at most times his power of reason, and so was kindly imprisoned there for his own sweet good. It was rumored that he spent his time making shoes and as a common insane man thought that one day he would be rich because of knowing such a sole-full trade of tacking down.
Most certainly those across the large pond would always remember him to this very day.

Image

The storm circled the tower probing its defenses with its electrified fingers, and it seemed active alive in intention enough to have freed that royal mint of madness, but alas it was by far much to late. Borne upon the hot heels of a heatwave it was i alone that witnessed such a storm as this as each of our clocks clicked upon the 10.30 of that wonderful Wednesday night.

:sst: bb, loves a good storm. :coffee: i most certainly do. BB
