Well done to everyone involved.

I particularly liked the top right picture of the bottom set. The photography is very well done. The figures seem to blend seamlessly towards the tree line at the back. Very effective and very clever. Again brilliant work from you Thomas :love:

Thomas, once again the unbeaten master of the diorama. You really got the hang of it.

I would still use fewer and somewhat larger pics even if you cannot show every view then. Having said that this was nonetheless my favorite from the beginning, in spite of quite a few very nice entries.

Thanks to everyone! Special thanks go to Old Wolf for a quite close last round...and to Benno for stressing me with all these competitions... ;-)

And at least thanks to my friend Michel Vogt for inspiring me with his own great medieval dioramas.

To be honest it took me about 10-15 hours to build this diorama.....but OK, I had all of the figures and wagons lying around in boxes since years. So I decided to show them together on a diorama. Just built and painted an additional war wagon from Miniart, made some crossbow-bolts out of a plastic pin, cut the bases from the figs and changed some weapons (war flails and forks from the new Zvezda-peasants) to make them more "Hussite like" and created the landscape with my usual method (wood filler mixed with dark paint, fine sand and some small stones).

Later this evening I will post some "making of pics".

Yes, that "puzzle pics" are not of everyone´s taste. I understand that. But the diorama is quite broad. To show everything I only can show a photo as a small stripe for I am only allowed to make 700x700 pixels....so this was a possibility to show all the figures and some close views...the next diorama will be smaller ;-)

Hi Folks,

here some making of - pics.

Preparing the material....just for the photo :-)

Applying the ground after masking the frame....looks not very nice...

Put on the models while the ground is still smooth.

Removing the models after drying and start painting. It is useful to take a photo to know the positions of the figs.

Put the models back to the ground and start applying grass tufts.

After adding some bushes, roots, static grass and drybrushing the plants....it should look like this...
