I am so happy this one is over. Congrats to all who won, and to those who did not as well. I have wanted to comment on the winning piece since I first saw it. I would like to first say, wonderful paint work, I think that goes without saying. I would also like to say how incredibly creepy and frightening that main figure is. Obviously the sculpts are great but again the painting really brought out the creepieness in that old guy!

Again congrats to all... just wanted to share my thoughts.

Congrats to the winners! I did not imagine that the first place was from Thomas. So one can say the masters back in town! :-D
Was a comp with really great entries and so I gave up the brush to the also famous west1871. And Sho who joined me in carrying the last brushes was very good again!

So let´s hope there will be good entries in the next one!

Thank you very much for the nice comments!

Cheers to all other competitors!

And special thanks to Alex Gussev for making figs with the most incredible faces in 1/72 scale. The face of the "creepy" old man is painted only with four layers of skin tone over black priming, blended together with ogryn flesh wash.

Best regards from Northern Bavaria

Congrats to all!
Personally I like West1871's gladiator, great figure and fine painting. Alex figures are too easy to paint for masters. ;-)
On the next competition I do not win any brushes.. must prepare for following competitions.

Thank you for the flowers. For the next time I will use the colonial Germans by Hat or something from Red Box´s Boxer Rebellion series to win. I promise.

Sorry man, I am very busy to finish my work for the competition at the Kulmbach Toy Soldier Show in August. Later this year it´s no problem.
