Congrats Adam  Yesterday, I knew it was your work. I was looking for the painting horse tutorial and couldn't find it. Then I looked back at "Run" and then I knew it. There are only two people on this forum who paints this way; Benno and you.
Also congrats to Konrad, a very good runner up

Greetings Peter

Echo everyone else: congratulations!

Adam I knew it's your work even earlier than Peter did. I'm always loving your painting style and here I particularly like the way you do highlight for those black fur on the pellisse.

Congratulate you Adam.
A very nice work!
The figures you have selected,
the arrangement,
everything very vividly and dramatically.
It seems to me that you have used photo software to change the
background?
You are a worthy winner!

Hi all, and thanks!
especially all the entrants for making it so much fun everytime. Peter- I think it is me who trys to paint like Benno, as when I started painting again a few years ago I based most my new stuff on his work- I still have some catching up to do to beat those Nassau infantry of his!

Here are a few more pics and a little explanation of what I used. The Hussar is a Russian Zvezda one- a quick snip later and the zvezda french artillery head sits atop a new body. The horse is from the same set except I cut away the russian shabraque and carves a new sheepskin one, using a hot pin to sculpt the sheep fur effect into the plastic. The running infatry man is actually an italeri rifle - third figure on the second row here

I cut away his gun, carved him proper belts, cut and moved his arms and heated and re-bent his legs and then gave him a proper redcoat paint job. It is obviously inspired by the french cavalry charge at Albuera. th eterrain get damaged during the making by a spill, so I sadly had to drybrush it to try and fix it, so it was a little spoiled but I am still generally fairly pleased.

The pictures were taken during a particularly wet and rainy few weeks over here where I could not get decent pics outside and was making a mess of inside so here are a few I took the other day.

Thanks again

Very nice job and congratulations to both the winner and runner-up. Adam, do you think you could get us some close-ups of the faces? It's probably difficult as both figures are sort of facing down, but I'd love to get a better look at how you painted them.
