Who made these?

Posted by Susofrick on 09 Dec 2013, 10:32

I bought these four metal (two of each pose. I put an Italeri Union trooper for comparison) figures 15-20 years ago at the local toystore. They were in a plastic bag with no other markings than the price (which I have forgot  ). I think they are meant for English Civil War or Thirty Years War. I think I will paint them (if I ever get to that) for ECW. There are some markings at the bottom of the (too small) base, but they are un-readable. So, if anybody knows, who made these metallic figures? The plastic one i know. :-D

Looks like 40 mm scale - the style is like "Princ August"-figures.
I am no expert with this kind of figures, but I don't know something of an ECW- or TYW-range with this lable.

Greetings

They are more 25-28 mm. The Italeri figure is 1/72. I haven't found any information either about Prince August doing anything like these. If they were 40 mm I would suspect Prince August, but as it is I have no idea.

They're definitely ECW miniatures. Don't know which manufacturer they're from.

Well, Gunnar. These do look good! I don`t know what make they are, but if you can find time for it,perhaps you could dip a brush or two into some paint ,and show us these fellows in full colour & at the gallop! If you need brush`es I`ll send you some. OK?

Most of all I need time, I think. :-D I will try to take pics of the bases as soon as possible. The bases are pretty small and the riders are rather heavy and that is not a very good combination. Huge thanks for the interest!

Definitely! Huge thanks! And they still are not expensive! :-D I was even considering sending one (or two) of them to you. :-D Pics of the bases are taken, but noone will need them now. :-D I have no idea though, how they ended up in a toystore in a mediumsized town in Sweden. Maybe they are on an adventure! :-D
