Everyone I watched doing Warlord Games reviews on You Tube, are showing the names of those who packed the plastic boxes. Thanking them for doing so.

Concern was raised here as the name was on view, but it still remains here so it ain`t a big deal after all.

Being sponsored by this company they do not show the down side of failings caused by it.
Here within this topic I have from the very first page, to this my last one , named them all.

The 2nd Nassau from `Front Rank',defending Hougoumont, ( Goumont ), and La Haye Sainte. These German troops were superb soldiers and they were in the heaviest fighting throughout the Battle of Waterloo.





I resolved my head of over thinking and bought a few at £1.25 each. This is a good price because War Lord Games plastic figures are nearing this mark anyway.

Fighting alongside them at Hougoumont, defending the walls are the Light Company of The Coldstream Guards . It was quite a prolonged scrap that bleed Bonaparte`s infantry battalions dry.



The 95th Rifles These will mix in nicely with the metal War Lord Games figures already shown.

The painted versions you have just shown to us are quite well done. Has your painting hand grown steadier?

Well I never painted those in the photographs they are from on line photo galleries showing what is actually in the packages.

My hands are much better than they were at the beginning of this year. ( 2018 )
So a little progress has been made possible on the painting front,but not much.

The reviews of War Lord Games box art ,and the figures shown here report several faults with these kits.



The unnatural knees up of British, German, Hanoverian and French Grenadiers seen above are my reasons for not recommending them at all.

They are all one and all ,treading Grapes with boots on. BB

I find it's not the money, it's the storage. Before painting it's into the stash which is a heap of boxes full of boxes and a few drawers for metals, bases etc. After painting they need even more room and MrsG keeps me restricted to using only 3 rooms (including the attic)

One can also say, that if you do not buy so many figs you could use the money for a bigger appartement. But in general you are right, both factors a important.

i was able to buy 20 Riflemen in the poses above. Buying the ones i want and not depending upon the boxed sets means there is no wastage.

i should receive them in a few days.

Anyway i took these three out of storage and took these shots.
It seems that they are having some kind of adventure already,but there`s not a Frenchman in sight.

There`s got to be a story here for the telling BB?
And a darn good one too.

Prussian Landwehr 1789-1815


i have been trying hard to obtain the boxed set above produced by Warlord Games. i finally bought two boxes which is great.

i had a run in with Scam merchants their shop is above on E Bay. It concerned them selling this boxed set without even having them in stock. I`ve therefore black listed them. They sell at £26.80, then order on Amazon Prime at the lowest price and direct the item to the buyer from there. They do this on goods and hold no stock whatsoever. They are still advertising that they have three boxes even knowing that there are non available on their shelf or at Amazon.
( They made £6.80 profit on each box without spending a penny themselves. )



As seen above the Amazon Seller sent the wrong boxes to me, and i found out that they also have no stock available. Yes a Scam Indeed!

i returned them to Amazon after the Seller on E Bay sent via e mail a return postal address to Scotland Amazon .



i had to print this out. Good thing i have a printer and ink.

I got a full refund to my Pay Pal Account after i demanded it pronto!





These are no longer being produced so i lucked in finding two at £17.99 each.
Warlord Games no longer show them on their site, because they only want their newer set to sell which is horrid beyond belief..
So my decent Prussian Landwehr are beefed up by a good 20% size now.

Some good news, i`ve just bought new paint colors. Lots of them too,
and so hope to try to resume painting Napoleonics soon. BB

There certainly were a lot of green uniforms present at Waterloo. The Orange Nassau being some a wearing them too. Those that survived the war, were given brand new uniforms for parade. However the war did not end at Waterloo.

Most certainly manuscripts of the period bear out the facts that the Nassau regiments were not given the best quality of equipment or indeed uniformed stuff. They had second hand India Pattern Muskets that were dished out to the low countries by Britain, and there was trouble getting them serviced. In 1815 at Waterloo they still wore the same uniform given them in 1813. So with make do repairs carried out most certainly off white or even grey overalls were worn like those worn by their own Dutch Jagers. Concern created by Dutch Jagers being issued rifles of differing calibre meant only 12 men and two officers served at waterloo, as all the others had ran out of ammo before hand.






















As i read deeper into it, the facts seemed quite unexpected and Dutchmen and young boys were i expect given other grueling duty`s to perform. Extremely tiring and demanding comes to mind. BB

Anyway not wishing to be a moaning Kill Joy,
they will paint up well as my little batch of toy soldiers. BB
