Can anyone tell me how I can make a soldier of the Dutch army of the cold war time. (54mm) what figure can be used. No doubt I have to rework on the model, but I don’t know if there is a basic figure I can use.

Hi Paul, I believe the Dutch army had US uniforms, although i'm not certain of it, since it is not the era that i'm intrested in. They also might have the uzi as weapon.

Hi,
there are some options.
As Peter suggested, the Airfix Bundeswehr could work. You will need to modify the gun and helmet (add netting and a rubber band).
You can also start with a Vietnam Australian and add an M1 helmet.
Or a Vietnam US soldier (without a vest) and add an appropriate weapon and helmet.
Finally, more expensive but less work, is to use an early IDF soldier, which is almost identical to a Dutch soldier of the same period (e.g. http://figurines-et-collections.com/en/the-six-day-war-261/idf018-moving-forward-8736.html).

I don’t have a bundeswehrfigure and i’m not in a hurry to make a dutch nato soldier. So, maybe I’ ll find a figure somewhere and then I can get on with it
