Figure bases for different terrain?

Posted by Traveller1865 on 25 Mar 2017, 19:50

Does anyone have a method for quickly changing figures bases? All of my figures have grass on their bases to blend in on a battlefield. But if the ground is mudd and dark brown I would need to re-paint the figures' bases, I wonder if anyone have a tip for switching the bases of for different terrain without too much work!

I await replies eagerly but I don't think it can be done (I'd love to be proved wrong).

The only period I do that it's an issue is the Bronze Age where hordes of Mycenaeans, with green bases, invade desert-like Egypt whose defenders are suitably arid-based. I think they just like taking a bit of Europe with them, wherever they go.
