I bought two boxes by mistake! Well things happen that way sometimes. They are much to light for Book Ends! I could just stick them in my collection,or pass them on to others.



Now! I`m off to buy the 1/32 scale figures that I should have bought in the first place. BB

I have a British Dragoon and a Polish lancer if I'm right! They are not easy to assemble, but once finished you have a great figure!

I was thinking to buy some of those, Napoleonic Old Guard I think... but when I saw that you need to make your own straps I gave up on purchase

I started one, but it will take a lot of time to finish it.

The straps and reins are not easy indeed. You have to cut them from a plastic sheet one by one. It is a real challenge!

After some years of collecting, I have the whole range at home. But I was to lazy to build one of the guys...

If I paint them I`m going to use lead strip`s for the straps,cut from a real of lead I used to finish off my Large Wooden Wagon Wheels.( The Wagon I made for Mrs B.) The stuff comes on a reel and removal of the paper on one side reveals the tacky to the touch glue. I`ve got lots of the stuff! Dead easy to cut with a sharp knife or scissors, yes I believe it will be perfect for the job. BB

Now that's a real trip down memory lane, never knew they were still in production. It was these that got me started in the hobby a very long time ago. Even have some left from what was at the time the complete collection, even some conversions. They are all at least 30 years old and are unbelievably fragile:

AWI British Infantryman and a Hessian officer made up from the British Grenadier and spare bits.

British 95th rifleman, Light company King's German Legion made up from the previous and bits, 14th foot chosen man made up from the other set of legs from 95th and bits.

British 10th hussar.

Enamel paints from Humbrol's 'Military Series' with the horse painted in artist's oils; took things seriously back then

As far as I know they stopped making these Yonk`s Ago! ( 30 years perhaps! ) SV52 ,Very nice of you to join in and comment, and your fragile figure collection looks very nice indeed, especially the conversion! If there are others with photo`s of this range of figures pile them on, I`d love to see your work. I think these will stay in the box, in my large figure section. That is if I can find the spot Mrs B placed it in,in the Collection! BB

That's the lot I'm afraid, the only survivors; I think my favourites were the English Civil War ones. Shortly after doing the last one, I moved on to Historex. Now that was a totally different experience!
