While checking an item for a member on this Forum today, I noticed the Crossbowmen that WARGAMES FOUNDRY produce for the Norman Invasion range of 1066,and I cross checked and there were such men armed with these during the battle period involved. I am well impressed with the quality of all of these. It is often said,"That if you are getting something for nothing that there is a CATCH". There is on offer at present that if you buy three packs of the same figures, then you will receive one free of the same figures. This is a offer, and a very good way to build up an army of archers in good quick time. Like Napoleonic artillery, you can never have to many archers or in this case crossbowmen in an army.
