Britons and Romans

Just wanted to pop in and say I'm very impressed by all your figures; the Celts are nice and varied (and you did the eyes!) the warpaint is nice and the Romans are neat and disciplined. I love the mix of manufacturers to keep the figures unique, great work!

Honestly, I really like yours, seeing the same sculpts painted differently (from the opposite side of the world) is a treat! Your woad is lighter than mine, and you do the shields differently but the same DNA is there. How good are the Linear-A sculpts? They really get the limed hair right!

Linear figures are really great, well detailed with original and powerful poses !
Hope they will keep these standards in their future productions, me too waiting byzantines ;-)

Great figures these fantastically painted new additions to your diorama, Enrico, both the Roman Optio and the brazen naked Celts.

More super work!

I like the completely tattooed and naked warrior. I sense that a certain sort of courage would be required to charge into battle against armoured Romans wearing nothing more than a few arm-bracelet torcs and carrying only a shield and spear!

Thanks all !!!
For Minuteman : courage was surely huge, probably helped by alcohol or drugs.... in the battle of Metauro the celtic wing of the cartaginean front was not attacked at the beginning of the clash, and at the end of the battle when the romans attacked them, they were all sleeping drunk..... easy work for the legions....

here are other britons, I'm slowly coming to the end of the 70 figures, "only" a dozen missing ;-)

If you are going to maintain this same level of detail and perfection in the painting until the last figure, Enrico, take your time, we will wait patiently because there is no doubt that the result will be fantastic.

Great work...again, my friend!

Do you also find it time intensive to paint the eyes in also?

I love the variety in miniatures, the plaid on that leader figure is particularly smashing. Careful freehand on those shields.

I don't find the eyes so time consuming once you have trained a little, now I spent about five minutes for the two of an head, considering the different passages (large white zone, then black vertical line, then reduce the large zone with brown ) and normally one loop due to errors (typical the "crossed eyes" result for the black lines).
Honestly I find much harder and time consuming the tartan !!

Again very nice figs from you.
But even more I admire the determined
and meticulous way of working. :notworthy:
Impressive.
And it shows once again.
One of the ways is patience.

Great additions to the cast, Enrico. I love the Celtic trousers and the chieftain's cape, as well as the tattoos.

Some more very fine figures, each with his own character. I like the Briton chieftain very much, and the Roman legionnaires are very well done. :yeah:
