"Karl May" Legends

It looks already very lifelike. I am looking forward to see it finished and the first painted figures, so the pueblo gets crowded.

Hello everyone... let's continue with the construction of the landscape.
As always, I used Styrodur boards as a substructure.
After the terrain had been worked out, the surface was covered with filler.

Next up was the construction of the mountains on the sides and back of the pueblo.
For this I used spruce tree bark.
After gluing, these parts were also filled with plaster.

In the meantime I have made further refinements to the building.
Various terraces have now received canopies that I made from teddy fur.
Small tufts of grass were placed in the corners of the building.
Little branches and twigs are climbing out of the cracks in the facade.

The terrain was then pre-treated in color and sprinkled with different soils and diluted white glue.
Then the whole thing was painted with a lot of water in different work steps in different shades.
For this I used simple paints from the hardware store.

I filled the river with epoxy resin.

The greening, the cacti, small trees, bushes and
different plants attached to the dioramas.
The terrain is now ready for the figures and all the accessories.

I find both the figures and pueblo marvelous and full of authentic detail. I'm not familiar with Karl May but native American tribes I definitely am. You've packed so much character in to your sculpts much as Strelets does but without the various exaggerated bits. Naturalism and character molded together, a true feat in 1/72 scale. Superb work Egbert.
Cheers,

As I am the last to write, all the compliments I could think of have already been said by one or the other.

Wow, Egbert, even though it seems impossible, you always manage to outdo yourself in every new project.

The pueblo and all its surroundings look terribly superb. Once the figures are painted and in place, you'll achieve another masterpiece worthy of a history museum. :notworthy:

My very best congratulations, my dear friend. :-D

Wow! I am not that familiar with Karl May's work. I know some names like Winnetou and Old Shatterhand (maybe me calling myself Ole Shakeyhands is something from here), but I haven't read anything. It is this way with this forum, you'll always learn something new! And your pueblo and your figures are astonishing work as usual!

Well done the conversion King!

Brilliant stuff indeed.

There are a few wonky hands but I think that you are getting even better at chopping and rebuilding.

The painting is excellent too.

Best wishes,

Chris
