Yesterday I have visited our dutch friends on a fair in Rheinberg.
It was really a nice day and we had time,to talk a lot about our hobby.

But the best was,to see all my dutch friends again.
These boys are really excellently mates.

Back home from a great weekend with Sander, Martin and Hans at the Modellbau West in Rheinberg (Germany).

Sander brought a lot of WW1 stuff with him to wargame with, and I was really impressed by what he had done with the figures and tanks. They all looked very cool! I'm thinking of starting on some WW1 stuff too. Great stuff Sander.

Hans brought a lot of WW1 stuff with him too, as some of you may know he's working on a WW1 diorama of the battle of Cambrai (can't blame him after painting Nap's for 10 years!). The whole line up of MKIV's was awesome!

Martin was still working on his French infantry for the second part of the Waterloo diorama. He got some 1000 painted now, and needs another 800. He even thinks he'll need more!

And me? I painted two.. TWO.. whole miniatures! :o Yeah I don't paint that fast..
I also had a cold, sneezing and coughing all the time.. yuk.

Saturday Konrad visited us at the fair. He brought his GNW diorama with him as a gift to me. Thanks again Konrad! And thanks for putting up the pictures! We talked a lot together (me trying to speak German, but failing every time :-) ). We had a great time with you being there with us!

On Sunday Tom-Pedall Winterkamp paid us a visit with his wife. Great guy! 8)

Here's a selection of the 400 photos I made:

Hi All,
Yes it was a pleasure to be at this fair. A lot of people passed our stand and the OOOH's and AAAH's were heared often.
Most of the visitors were train-minded and could also admire other types of hobby. 4 Days (1 preparation and 3 days of fair) are still enough.
Next opportunity to see us alive is: 21 June in Kampen (NLD).

@ Martin.

Just curious, but I was noticing the Benno picture of your figs entitled "French Light Cavalry" and I was wondering if these figs were the 1st Cavalry Division cause it looks to be made up of the 3rd Chasseurs and the 3rd & 4th lancers.
Is that correct Martin????

Hi Colin,
You are completely right: 3rd and 4th Lancers and 3rd Chasseurs of the 1st Cavalry Division lead by Gen. Jacquinot.
There just a part of what I have ready.

Hey Martin, if that are the Third Chasseurs, the color of the cuffs are not right. Now you have them red, but the Third had green ones.

1st: Facing scarlet with scarlet cuffs
3th: Facing scarlet with green cuffs
4th: Facing primrose with primrose cuffs
6th: Facing primrose with green cuffs
8th: Facing pink with green collar
9th: Facing pink with green cuffs
12th: Facing crimson with green cuffs

This is no critic, just want to help. Thes are beautiful figures in a nice dio!

Just curious Peter, where did you got that info from? I thought it was red cuffs for the 3rd Chasseurs. I think Martin's right.

The information is from the book: the armies at Waterloo from Ugo Pericoli. Sometimes there is no great difference between the uniforms.
I will check it in the Waterloo Compagnion when I 've got more time.
