FIGZ 2018 Small report

Posted by Peter on 04 Jun 2018, 21:19

Yesterday I was at the meeting in Arnhem. Because I joined the workshop I didn't take much pictures. I hope others did so we can see them here. Okay and I did a lot of talking with the other forum members to!

I found a small movie here, just an impression: https://www.ad.nl/video/production/figz-arnhem~vp39521

Here is what I did during the workshop weathering.

The model was pre-painted:

Highlightning the upper parts with a lighter colour as the base colour:

Giving depth to the model with a wash and thinner. It flows in the deeper parts:

Next steps were cleaning with thinner and dusting (see front):

Then we used a mud effect (two kinds, light and dark):

Last thing I did was playing around with some black pigment:

Thank you Mitchell from AK Interactive! I learned a lot of it!

Just a few more pictures, so you can see that there were figures in the building. ;-)

Nice old figures painted by Andreas (Old Wolf)

Hi guys, I didn,t took much photo's and half of them where so bad (made theme without glasses),
try to upload some soon.
First I have to sort all things here and store it for FIGZ 2019...

But I would like to thank everyone who was there, I can tell I had a great time again, and it was fun to see my "family" again.

I would like to thank Alex for the wonderful figure, they asked me if there will be a FIGZ witch range now , but serious without your help I could't do this for our friends! So THANKS ALEX!!

I would like to thank Pieter (and Bregje), Ludwig (and Saïma) and Benno for helping me to set up the tables, and decoration.

Also a big thank you for everyone who helped me to clean up at the end of the show!!!

It was fun to see you guys again, and even more to see the kids there as well, our future ;-) .
There was a interview from a local Dutch newspaper, so we had some extra publicity to promote our hobby as well. For me one of the reasons to organize FIGZ.

Next year the first Sunday of June will be in a holiday weekend, so maybe I'll better do it the last week of may, have to think about it...

@Jan, used your picture of Andrea for the FIGZ facebook page, fantastic to see "dad" buying and "dear daughter" getting more and more boxes in her hand

So again thanks all, for your support!

It's nice to set up things for a show, it is nice during a show, but it is not very fun to clean up after the show. But it can be staisfying too. As far as I've seen it was a great show! More pics!
