FIGZ 2017

Posted by Dad's Army on 05 Jun 2017, 13:42

Well guys yesterday it was FIGZ day, and I hope you all did wear your FIGZ shirt all over the world...
It was a nice day, temperature was good, I saw only happy faces.
And even if the organization was in the end a bit stressful, it turned out well.
I would like to thank all the members who did come to FIGZ to join the fun, it was good to see you all again.

Some pictures from me (and what I found on internet so far):

Martin and his shop

on the right of this foto you see the extra light for the groupbuild (and in the back forthe PC)

I tried to get one long picture of the GB, but it was to long....

I will not post pictures of the GB, cause other members made much better ones.

okay, one part from BB...

But light was perfect!

I did join the first part of his workshop and learned a lot...
Here a small part of the workshop, thank Mr.Cryns for this great contribution!

Pictures of what everybody did make, they will upload them self (I hope)

The parking place was at one moment all full, never happend before

The stupid part is, I didn't take pictures of Peter or his work...
But want to show you all what his son did make for us, shown here by our FIGZ model... thank you Christophe!
Image

Well that was my short impression..
I had for FIGZ 3 task..
1) join the GB wit 1 figure (and 6 extra stupid Nappies)
2) make something for the Painting Competition, no time to make picture, but lost agan...
3) suprise Peter by paintin 100 Romain solders from the Asterix bubble gum series, and i made it (103)Image

It was a honor to see again our French member Michael Roberts, who drove 6 and half hour to join us, also a great thanks to Jan who did a great job on de Group Build, Mr.Cryns who did a fantastic workshop, and all members who did join again. The help with building up FIGZ, as well the help cleaning up at the end, thanks all!!!

I had a great FIGZ, now looking forward to FIGZ 2018 (but first the pictures from the other members

I like to thank Dad, Benno, Kristina, MABO, Martin and all other people who helped Dad organizing Figz 2017.

Also I like to thank all participators of the Foam House Cutting workshop for joining us. We had no accidents with knives and fingers :sweatdrop:. It was my pleasure to have such a mixed group of ladies, children and some very funny gentlemen all together. They worked very hard.

It was my pleasure too to meet new members like DasDirch, Erik Jan, Mr. Andrea and of course to meet the many others I already met before.

I like to congratulate Pieter because he was one of the WINNERS of the painting competition. Pieter I saw your home-sculpted pot- and foodcollection on a picture posted by a Murphy's Heroes member. Please post such a picture somewhere in our forum.

Peter thanks for the Vlaai. Was your son at the show too?

Mr. Cryns,

The foam house workshop was suberb, I learned there a new way of working with foam.
Maybe I will order a matras as well ;-)
Your students made some nice houses, and also learned a lot.
Here at home I found my bag with tools, stupid me

Ohw and no, Peter his son wasn't there, but made it especially for us.
In my mail contact with Peter, he showed me a picture when it was almost ready.
His son makes beautiful objects with this methode, and I am glad our FIGZ mascotte is one of them!

Nothing, but it is not interesting, that is all. And Remco made good advertisment, because his figure has little HäT boxes in his hand.
