I can see pics and the whole event looks great, terrific, wonderful and downright good! :-D

And ah, The Road to Arnhem is fabulous!!! 8) So proud to have been a small part of that great, clever work (although I suspect Jan's dio skills have elevated my contribution massively - thanks Jan!). Looking forward immensely to some close ups! From start to end that road looks terrific. And as for the hippy end scene...

Great work from the much more than talented Mr Cryns. What a superb idea from Erik-Jan in the painting competition (although, being English, I'm also in love with Remco's tea cup..) and there's our Konrad with 'a few' Roman legionnaires he's been busy with this year.

Hey Peter, I was doing the signs and - of course, it was my fault. Shame on me!! But I bring Bananamilk for Mickey so he could not be angry! ;-)

Thanks to Remco for another great event. It seems to be bigger than last year. When we arrived around ten there were cars all over the place. My personal respect goes to our member Michael Robert who came from Normandie!!!

My wife made a tree in the workshop and I had a chance to talk to so many nice people. Söhnke had fun anyway.

I hope that Benno will post some of his 700 pictures here soon - no only on facebook.

And you all know: Actually it is before the next FIGZ!

Keep painting, keep posting!

How I wish I had been there! Did anyone shoot a video of Mr. Cryns's tree workshop? I would love to watch it. I did okay myself, though. I was in Honolulu with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. :)

Konrad I only need 22 years to catch up to you. But I won't ask you to rest.

FIGZ looked so fun! How many were the final attendence numbers? Biggest turnout yet?

Maybe next year I will visite FIGZ too.
Who was the winner in the single figure competition?
The one between the two Paulaner beer with these well moulded curves!

One question:
There are two well posed figures in the competition who interest me.
From Johan:
Dyne Meid
20mm
Who is the maker of this figures?

Gentlemen (and ladies),

It was my pleasure to be at Figz2016 and meet so many of you.

I had a lovely group of model tree builders. We started at 12.00 and at 16.00 all eight of them were still busy improving their trees!

MABO wrote:My wife made a tree in the workshop

Yes she is a remarkable woman! At 17.00 she was the only one still trying to get her tree finished and she succeeded: She was the only one that went home with a fully completed tree.

Konrad wrote:Mr.Cryns. Hope he enjoyed to visit us.

Yes Konrad I did. Thanks for your pictures and nice words. But to my regret, with the exception of a quick visit to you and your great Macedonians and Romans, my workshop gave me no time to have a proper look at all the other beautyful and fascinating work from all of you. That's frustrating me a lot. I spend the whole day unpacking, building up, speeching, teaching and packing again. Luckily there is some pictures to look at. Next year I have to do it a little different I think.

Peter wrote:WRONG SHIRT! Where is that FIGZ shirt? :eh:

Peter,

I thought you had problems with your back, not with your eyes. Is that right? So have a good look at that Figz shirt again. A very good look. How many buttons do you count? How many? Yes, that's right.
And how many buttons are needed for a good session of buttoncounting? Have a very good look at my old striped pyjama shirt on Konrads pictures. How many buttons do you count?

Beano Boy wrote:Like Alice following that White Rabbit

Beano Boy, it is a pity you live far away over the sea, I guess that is why you were not with us. I am not very familiar with Alice's White Rabit. But have you read the real story behind my ears? You can find it at our profile photo page: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=18819

Beano Boy wrote:in the spirit of friendly banter and fellowship with a fellow member

What am I wanted for????

In fact I have a little present for you, Beano Boy. It contains no banter, only fellowship with a fellow collector. Where can I find your Fiddle Wood Norwich adress? So I can send it with the postman.

Bluefalchion wrote:Did anyone shoot a video of Mr. Cryns's tree workshop?

I hope not! But I am honored to read you have so much interest in our subject.

Thank you Dad, Martin, Benno and all other organisers for the great event.
