FIGZ 2022

Posted by Dad's Army on 10 Jun 2022, 20:41

Cool report, well done all.
I must say every year is the moment when I start to organize a stressfull time.
All those wishes, and the last minute cancel from participants.
After a lockdown from 2 years, you don't know what state the building is in.
But they used the time to paint the walls, and even got new tables.
My computer crashed so old table plans I found didn't match at all, now know why.
Always glad when it is finally the first Sunday of June, then it's enjoy, and more enjoy.
So good to see friends in real live again, this took to long.
And I already said on the stage (but I believe only in Dutch  )
Thanks to all who made my day, the bring and show guys, sellers and gamers.
Mr. Cryns for the interesting workshop building boats,
I didn't participate but looked from the side, well done and learned again something!
Also thanks for helping building up FIGZ, also to my son Benno.
Peter of bringing his Vlaai, his fantastic converion of the Asterix figures I send him into Vlaai showers....
and of course the ice-cream presents at the end where a fantastic suprise. Thanks for that.
Now we have to focus up to FIGZ 2023, I didn't took much photo's, try to upload a few later on (a bit sick at the moment)

ohw and there would be a small film as well, when it's ready they would send it to me.
This will be placed at this post as well then.

Thanks all, Remco.

Hello Dad,

Thank you for making this event possible again.
I had a great day.
Reading your report, I think next year we should invite more people for helping building up this event on saturday. So you can do the thinking and planning and we can do the physical labour.

Hello Peter,

Thank you so much for the complete photo series you took and present to us. My compliments for the quality. It was nice talking to you again, after so many years.
And thanks for the tastefull vlaai.

Your presents for Opa IJs were a touching gesture.
From the position where I was standing, I could only see he unwrapped a kabouter and a tie.
Only when watching your photographs I understood what this was all about: Icecream&Icecream :-D :yeah:

It was Great to see all you guys enjoying your day while i took time out to view during this very busy time of this unforgiven, unforgettable year! Although enough said of that though.

Looking intently at what was upon view,as i must now in my twilight,i have come to a conclusion, that i loved dancing along in pleasure from one picture to another.

:coffee: All the Best Regards Possible,
to you One and All. BB

Such a great and family-feeling event. Some day I have to visit!.....and I have to taste Vlaii. But Remco, where are your Klompen? You aren´t complete without. The ice-cream-tie is also a great idea. You should wear it on your next christmas photo.

Greetings from Bavaria
