Marvel thread

Posted by Kekso on 05 Feb 2023, 18:14

Another themed thread. This time Marvel figures. Starting with well known Captain America.
I've put a lot of effort to paint his shield but I'm happy how it turned out.

WOW. Absolutely splendid brushwork Kelso. I’m not familiar with this range of figures. Are they 1/72 ? If so, painting in this scale can’t get much better than this!

Very very nice. The figure itself is perfectly painted, and the rust effect on the base is stunning!
Oh, and the reflection of the light on the shield is so well made that it gives the impression that it is bent. You're becoming a real 1st class painter, congratulations!

I can't agree more with all the opinions above. Not only on the shield, Kekso, you have achieved a superb result on the whole figure. :notworthy:  :notworthy:  :notworthy:

Thank you guys very much. But let's not exaggerate.. I 've just used common painting techniques any of you can find online and use. Shield included, that's not my "invention".

Maybe not your invention, but you are able to paint figures like this. I really like the outcome and I agree with the others that it is top notch. I am really curious to see other Marvel characters.

I love the shine on the shield, very realistic, it's like the light is hitting it!
