Strelets Crusader's transport

I wanted some non-fighting miniatures for my skirmishers and adventures as well as some wagons to either escort or rob them, so I found this box particularly interesting and useful.

One thing I like about these types of boxes from Strelets is that none of the miniatures are repeated; there is only one pose per model. On the other hand, something I didn't like was having to glue all the parts of the carts. Not having to build or glue a kit is one of the reasons why I like 1/72 scale so much.

The sculpting is a bit crude in my opinion, but the poses are very original. I especially like the guy picking his nose, but also the man with a boy on his shoulders or the wounded and dead people, who are very useful and rare to see.

I like them as well. The old Strelets style is once more presented here. But the idea of such a civilian and not combat set was worth to buy it.

I don't know what to say about my style, it's just the way I paint minis. I'm more a wargamer than a painter and I paint to play, not for dioramas or displays, so maybe that it's the reason? Also, I've always been fan of comics and there may be some influence from them too?

Fine work on this very individual and very appealing Strelets set. The sculpting may not be of the highest quality, but the character that the sculptor instilled into these medieval travellers (or late, departed travellers in the case of the dead) is wonderful.

It is not a set that I ever bought, but I might just try to track one down somewhere now I have seen how good these can look with a very good paint job. Well done!

In the age of 3D printers I like to see some figures made by hand.
Many colleagues viewed the figs of STRELETS critically.
But I've always liked painting them.

And if someone has no need for the third figure from the right on this picture, I'm interested in this plague doctor! For thos who remember I painted a 54 mm one from Speira (viewtopic.php?f=78&t=25338), but I didn't know Strelets made one to in our smaller scale.

As you know, I am a fan of the Strelets figures warts and all, just for the imagination and character that they exude! You have done a great job with this set - I could have used those oxen when I was building my Portuguese ox carts!!
