And the winner is Mr. Andrea who was up against his waregaming friend Mabo.
It was clear who was the stongest, so I think Jan will have a re-duel to have some nice time together in the future (LOL)
I would like to thank both for keeping our dueling field alive, and hope you will inspire more members to just have a nice duel.
Gongrats Andrea, en better luck next time Jan!

Congrats Andrea, a clear victory. Your pics made it as it is. I wanted to create a hot summer light, that correspond to my groundwork, but this failed completely. I should have taken more time. But a next opportunity will come for sure... Thanks to the band of brothers, that voted for me.

Excellent work to both on this old-style duel (No Mr. X, a topic, multiple figures and a terrain base). I hope we will see more of these.

Now my analysis--I suspect if I had each diorama with me in person, the choice would be simply impossible. It was Mr. Andrea's photograph, with just the right lighting, better focus, and better angle that won my support this time.

I think that better photographer won this time. Jan's base is way better, but I simply more enjoyed the other entry. It might be because of picture quality.

best pictures won here for sure! and yes, Jan's base is far better than mine.
We need a re-match, which is the funny part of it. So, while choosing figures for the next duel, let me thank Jan for having brought me back on nappies. They are not easy to paint (bloody lapels, turn-backs, collar, cuffs, cuff-flaps....), but great to look at them when work is done. Thanks!

Real nice duel! Congrats to both!

I thought one was painting French and the other one Prussian troops? Must have missed something! :eh:

What is for sure, I voted again for the winner! Sorry Jan! I send your money back!

Good evening,
What reassures me is that I'm not the only one to miss my photos  :-D
Congratulations to Mister Andrea for his victory and to Mabo for his participation, it was still a nice duel in a theme that I appreciate.

Can't wait for the next one and thanks again

Both were excellent contributions, I'm surprised there was such a large margin. Maybe with a better photo this could have finished a draw.

I liked the light in Jan's picture. Anyhow, fun with old-style duels too. And it is even more fun when the duelists knows each other.

Again I am late in commenting and all has been said. Both, Jan and Mr Andrea, have done equally god paintings I think. The votig difference is surprising, but in the end it was just the colours and lightning of the pictures I suppose. I also voted for the winner
Congratulations to Mr Andrea and better luck to Jan next time
