Perry 28mm Zulu War British

Posted by Londoncopper on 20 May 2022, 20:39

I have just finished painting some figures for gaming the Zulu War of 1879 using the Perry brothers plastic range, I am using the versatile One Hour Skirmish Wargames Rules by John Lambshead that l highly recommend.

British colonial uniforms are one of my favorite... to paint and to look at.
Nice work, I like your basing as well.

Wonderful, great work!

I'm just wondering whether these chaps need to look a little more 'dusty'?

I did consider making the bottom of their trousers look dusty, I have just bought some MiG weathering pencils so will ponder whether to try them or not.

Very nice work. Also think a little dust on the trousers, helmets etc might give them a more battle-worn look and add to the realism.
I would love to see a comparison of these with Empress figures…. I believe they might complement each other very nicely.
