Kyūshū ; Spring 1281

Posted by Flashcad on 29 Aug 2021, 05:14

First post on this forum.
This diorama features Japanese defense forces preparing to repulse the second attempted invasion of Kublai Khan's Mongols, launched from China and Korea.
Most figures used are 54mm from Pegaso, Masterclass, El Greco, etc. The Tori Gates were scratch-built using wooden chopsticks and items from cake decorations.

Huge diorama in 54mm scale is not something that can be seen so often.
I really like patterns you've painted on robes.
And welcome to the forum.

Hello Flashman,
very elegant and colourful. Reminds me of Japanese theatre - some type of choreography.
Great contribution - you are more than welcome!

First of all, welcome to this fantastic forum, Flashcad.

I agree with the opinions expresed above by the mates. You have achieved a real masterpiece with this diorama in which all is perfect: the balance of the different elementes, the wonderfully painted figures, the scenery, the great amount of details,... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

It's especially interesting to see also the ladies preparing for war.

Best regards.

Santi.
