Timpo 9506 Arabs

Posted by Peter on 10 Dec 2020, 21:17

It took me some time, but finally I could finish these Arabian warriors from Timpo. This was something new for me because I only used a wash for the skin and the gun. All other parts are painted from dark to light, by using different colors or adding a bit of white. I like the end result also after seeing the pictures. I will for sure use this technique on more figures.

Great idea, Peter. My Timpo figs have disappeared, but one can not collect everything, not even me,

I am looking forward to see other examples.

Always good to see classic Timpo Figures,
and the Arabians look real cool painted.
Well done Peter.

i would suggest that a slight twist to the wrist on the last figure will improve that pose immensely by moving the hand and thus raising the angle of the sword. As i looked at it two positive sword angles could be achieved by this simple method.

Metal Pliers and kitchen paper would be needed to do any Twisting.

However this is only a possible Tip,and in no way should it be seen as applied criticism, because the painting is Top-Notch! BB

I also like the final result much, Peter. You have achieved very colourful and bright figures. Well done.

Thank you Paul and Santi.

@Paul: I know what you mean about that hand, but I just wanted to paint them like they come out of the box. Without doing modifications on the figures! But it's a good tip. Maybe I try it with one of the other figures some day!
