WWII British Paratroopers

As so often before, it is quite possible that we will soon see 1/72 versions of them as well.

I like the 2" (50mm) mortar, if they do appear in 1/72 then it could be worth getting just for that

I know this are :) , I was just posting the pic to be compared with the British Paratroops, one pose in particular seem nearly identical!

Indeed the mortar soldiers are the most interesting and different.

Cool news! I was just about preparing an order for my birthday, although I don't think these will be released on time, it is great to see new ancients come into the market.

A bit sadly, more or less all already exists, but well, we'll see how they are.

Is it me, or do the artworks of the Dacian and Ancient Artillery seem to suggest the old Hytty sets?

I think you are correct, and these will be reissues of Hytty/LW sets - the Samurai set from LW has this same pose in it, and the number of poses shown on the box are the same too. Think the Germans mercenaries will be the LW Spanish set, but I am still happy as these are not easy to come by anymore.

Exactly this. ;-) :yeah:
Pretty sure that only 72130 (Volkssturm Set 2) are actually newly designed figures. See also the corresponding posting from 04 July on page 6.
All other announced sets could most certainly be reissues of older and, in my opinion, somewhat unattractive HYTTY or LW / Evolution figures.
On the other hand, I would be extremely excited if I would be wrong and this is indeed an unexpected flood of new sets. ;-)
However, we will know soon.

The set titles sound interesting, especially given the improvement in recent sculpts from Mars. However I am slightly concerned at the box art on a couple of these sets which 'suggest' that the contents may be re-purposed sculpts previously released by LW or others:

The figure on the 'German Mercenaries' box front looks very much like a LW pirate:
http://plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=229

The figure on the 'Samurai' box front looks very much like an LW Samurai:
http://plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=709

And many of the set titles bear resemblance to similar prior output from LW (which were themselves repurposed from EVO).

Let's hope these concerns are unfounded and we get nice new sculpts.

i am quite sure these are sadly LW recycled sets... Those poses and topics are exactly the same.....,

Aall of them (persian cavalrty are scythians, the dacian fg is also known, the man with tw pistols and the smaurai , as pointed in previous post are also old known poases,.,,)

Mars announced WWII US Paratroopers Set 2 in 1/32.
As usual, it's very likely that these dynamic figures will also be released in 1/72.

Hello,

if the quality of the figures is good and they are well detailed even in 1/72, they would be interesting.

Maybe someday AIRFIX will also release the "Early Bundeswehr" 1:32 figures in 1/72.

When I was 13 years old, I eagerly awaited it.
But unfortunately they never appeared in 1/72.

A few years ago I got the 1:32 figures after all when I happened to get my hands on them on ebay (mixed with a couple of Dinky Toys Cowboys, 5 EUROs).
So i painted them....because they are not available in 1/72..

Mars have announced that they are working on a set of WWII German Fallschirmjäger support weapons (in winter uniform & with 10,5cm Leichtgeschütz 42) and it is due to be released next year.
Let's hope the circumstances will allow this to happen.

Picture shows 1/35 masters, but it has already been confirmed that they will also be released in 1/72.
