Speira Miniatures continues

Dear Speira!

I am a little confused about the new Prussians. Litewka with shako is new to me. Line troops never wore litewkas and landwehr troops normally had no shakos.

If the litewka is intended for a greatcoat, then it is too short and also the coat roll is superfluous.

Can you please explain, which unit this figures should represent.

Kind regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas!

We were led to believe these are the Prussian 25th Line (Lützow Freikorps), based of images we had of their uniforms. Made on request for a customer for a special project.

Kind regards,
Helen and Christian

Look at Captain Silbournes Plancenoit posting to see these figures that were specially commissioned for the project.

Lutzow Freikorps.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hello Speira
Looking at your website, will you be expanding the Texas Revolution to include Alamo Defenders? Will you expand the series to include Mexican-American War?

I really need US Dragoons 1846 for that war and also for pre-Civil War Indian Wars.

Of course I can always use Mexican War US Regular Infantry, Mexican Militia, Mississippi Rifles, Texas Rangers, US Artillery, and Presidios mounted.
Thanks

Those lads look fantastic. I have to ask if they were done using only washes or maybe citadel contrast paints? The figures themselves are extremely nice. Spiera always produces excellent work and these are especially nice. Damn shame I have no plans to build a British army. :eh:

@hodude Thank you for your message!
At the moment do we not have any more Alamo in the pipe.
If you want to commission us to make it for you, so can you send us a email on info@speira.net so can we see what can be done.

@Bessiere
Thank you for your message!
Not sure if you refer to the Prussians or the other figures,
If its the Prussians you means so are those picture you see only 3d renders as we sent away all we had.
If its the mules so is the blue/grey the color of the material they are printer in.

Hello everyone!

Apologies for long time and no post. To let you know, we released the ambulance wagons without canvas as well. Made the wheels fit onto the axis and the hitch is slotted, top is separate.

Check them out here:

https://www.speira.net/product/wheeling ... no-canvas/

Any model of wagon you would like to see next?

Good Evening!

So for something completely different than what we usually do: We just released airport Firemen and Mechanics, for anyone who needs to liven up their air plane dioramas:

Yes, that is us two at a fare i Malmo last weekend. Hopefully we can do more, it was great fun!

So starting today and until Christmas we will release from our two new lines of figures. One American WW2 model (D-Day) and one French Nepoleonic soldier (1809) every day.

Something to look forward to?

Looking forward to that.

I have a question. Can you show me with a picture what it means: "Cut sprue support yourself."? I'm planning an order but want to be sure what it is?

Hi Peter!

It is something like this, on the smaller scales we offer the figures on the support sticks and we make like a protective grid around for them to survive wrapping / shipping better. When you get them to cut, it is good to soak them in hot tap water (not boiling, but quite hot) and they will be easier to cut as they become temporarily softer. No need to wash or cure them they are already ready in that regard.

Seems to be a good idea, because some of my ACW soldiers lost their tiny bayonnets on the way from Sweden.

@Helen and Christian: I often see new figures of your hands passing by on FB. Is it good that we copy the pictures and place them here in this topic?

@Peter
Yes feel free to share pictures, we are sorry that we are bad to update here but there is not enough time, and we know that you prefer that we priorities the sculpturing of new models instead of posting picture all over.
